This book is amazing, the details are so well written that in parts you can actually see it happening. I would love to see this made into a film, it's so much more gripping than modern day "vampire stories" it goes right back to basics. Well worth a read

this is the first scary book i have ever read. although I am more a fan of the leave-more-for-the-imagination-of-the-reader type ending, rather than the neatly-wrapped-up-with-a-bow ending that this book had, it was still an exciting read. i actually felt cold as i read the author's descriptions of the wintry landscape, and there were even a few parts that made me jump-just like watching a movie-ahh! a great book for the younger audience, swordhand makes the cut for my 9th grade classroom library.
