They're a bit more real than a lot of superheroes, especially teenage ones, and well, they are teenagers so its a bit easier to relate to them. They dont deal with costumes or how they look to the public, they do what they think is right. When I read it, sometimes I think "how stupid," or "well thats a bit dramatic" but then I put myself in the situation, and I dont see myself acting much different. Personally I love the Runaways.
