I love this book too!

I do agree with Catherinesque that the first story didn't seem of the same caliber.

I really enjoyed this book, but I felt like the first story didn't fit all that well with the other two. It wasn't a bad story, but it just didn't have that same rich feel of the others.

I will try it based on your review and Shelf Elf's --but I think Stitches should get the National Book Award as well.

I loved this book. Laini is such a talent and her husband's illustrations just make the book even more special. I have my fingers crossed for the National Book Award. That would be very cool.

BJ, this is a four star read. The writing is lush, and if you enjoy fantasy, you just can't go wrong with this one.

Not sure this book is my cup of tea, how many stars would you give this? I know it got an Honor Award but when I read the jacket in the book store, I said, "NOPE" and went for Stitches and I am soooo glad I did.
