Dear Teen Peeps,
Reading Rants will be off the air for the month of May while I keep chipping away at my super sekrit writing project and work on some other big review assignments. When we return, I hope to have some fabulous suggestions of hot summer reads that will set your beach bags and e-readers on FIRE. (Only in the metaphorical sense. No one wants bag smelling of scorched canvas or a melted Kindle.) And maybe, just maybe a redesigned RR logo as well. Until then, check out these other great writing sites where you can share what you’re creating and let me know what fantastic titles you’re reading right now or looking forward to reading this summer in the comments. I’m always looking for the next good book, please feel free to steer me in the right direction!
I’m really excited to read The Curse of the Wendigo and The Isle of Blood this summer! I loved The Monstrumologist when I read it around Christmas time and now I finally will have the time to read the rest of the series before the 4th and final book comes out in October!
I’m also really excited to be reading The Book Thief, The Knife of Never Letting Go, and Coraline this summer!
Veronika, those are all great reads! I’m a big fan of the Monstrumologist books myself. Don’t forget to take a look at Yancey’s latest: The Fifth Wave. I think you’ll like it just as much.
Jennifer, I can’t wait to see your summer reading suggestions; I am going to be plugging away at your recommendations I have on my Kindle such as the Ruta Sepetys book and Code Name Verity to name a few. Happy reading and reviewing!
